Cookie policy.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Websites also use similar technologies, such as local storage. This policy covers all of them, and I call them “cookies” for short.

How this website uses cookies
This website is built on Squarespace, which sets cookies for me. They fall into these groups:

Essential cookies (always on)
These are needed for the website to work and stay secure. For example, they remember your cookie choice, protect against security attacks and make sure contact forms submit properly. UK law does not require consent for these.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
These come from Squarespace Analytics and show me overall statistics, such as how many people visit, which pages they look at and how they found the site. I only see summary figures, not who you are. These cookies are only set if you accept them on the cookie banner.

Embedded content
Some pages, such as my video portfolio, may show videos or social media content from other platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo or Instagram. These platforms may set their own cookies when you view or play their content. I don’t control those cookies, so please check each platform’s own privacy and cookie policies.

What I don’t use
I do not use advertising cookies, and I do not use cookies to build marketing profiles of visitors.

For the full list of cookies Squarespace may set, see squarespace.com/cookie-policy.

Managing your choices
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. To change your choice, clear the cookies for this website in your browser and the banner will appear again. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site may not work properly.
